Crockpot Chicken Noodle Soup

  • 4-6 lb whole chicken
  • 1-quart chicken broth
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 3 carrots, chopped into circles
  • ½ white onion, chopped
  • spices like garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Herbamere
  • Rice penne noodles (I use DeBoles Penne.)

Cook a whole chicken in the crockpot with some water.  Shred the meat off the chicken.  Set aside. This takes about 4 hours.

In a large pot heat chicken broth from box and also about 2 cups of chicken broth from the crock pot, carrots, celery, onion, and spices to a boil.  Reduce heat to simmer. Add shredded chicken.

In another large pot, cook noodles according to package directions. Add noodles to rest of ingredients.
